Code 8 Experts...

I decided to take on the task outlined here to fix the ACC code 8 error. (thanks to all who contributed such useful info) After pulling the motor and small duct off, the only thing I found to be wrong was the stop arm. It had a broken end where it fits over the yellow piece. The yellow piece was still in tact as one. Am I missing something or was I lucky in that the stop arm gave rather than the yellow linkage piece? Also the old broken stop arm was the newer version, white in color. This makes me wonder what had been done with this by the previous owner. Anyhow, after adjusting the motor and stop arm I was able to get the code 8 message to consistently disappear.
