Rotation is a good general maintenance and tire longevity procedure. The 9-5 is a heavy, high torque front wheel drive vehicle. It also has some negative rear camber dialed in. Both of these mean more frequent tire rotation is needed. However, if your alignment is out of spec tire rotation may help, but will not cure the problem. Loading the car leads to lower ride height which leads to more negative rear camber which in turn leads to inside edge tire wear. I have tried speaking to SaabUSA about this, but it all falls on deaf ears.
