Hi All,
This reminds me- I have a "thud-thud" which is most noticeable when at about 2/3 tank when parking or coming to a stop etc. I've heard about tank baffles being a problem so it's on my list of things to do "some day". I know full well that I should do it BEFORE it strands me somewhere! :-)
Question is- is the tank "openable"? If you remove it from the car can you then open the tank in a non-destructive way, repair the baffles and then reclose it? Is there an access hatch or something? I seem to doubt it... and I can't imagine a new tank being particularly cheap.
Interesting that according to CrNiFi it's still a problem on the 05 model. I don't like to get into all this Saab bashing that sometimes goes on here, I reckon my car is fantastic, but gee you'd think they'd work out how to make a fuel tank after 7 years of production!
Comments on the questions above welcomed.
Cheers
Steve
