FWIW, most extended warranty companies are classic pyramid schemes. Most of them low-ball the cost, sell a lot of coverages and pay a few of the first ones to look legit. Once they have gotten a lot of easy money, they liquidate that company and move on to another area. Thousands of buyers in the DFW area got scammed back in the early 1980s. I know, because I was one of them I bought one through a reputable used car dealer with my second or third used Saab and got one repair out of them. The next time, my mechanic got stuck. It was a bit sticky, but the deal up front was he got the work if he would deal with the warranty company and leave me out of it.

Bottom line - unless the company can show me ten or more years of service and a clean BBB record, I would never go there again.
