At 6'2" I have the same problem in my '01 Aero Wagon, and after 60 years of hard use my bod is not as forgiving as it used to be.
Besides the steering wheel being too far forward, the arm rest on the driver's door is too low and is useless.
To compensate, I move the seat forward some - which my knees don't like; I raise the seat and put the back rest in a more vertical position - but then my head rubs on the ceiling and makes my hair stand up and also, over time, makes the headliner dirty; and I put my left elbow up on the top of the driver's door - but that is way too high for repeated extended periods of time and is giving me shoulder problems.
The car would be much more comfortable if the steering wheel could be pulled several inches further back, and also if the driver's door arm rest were raised about 2 or 3 inches.
