I had a similar problem, I was actually charged four times in one month for $299 each time. It is apparent that they don't have the right billing and accounting systems.
All I did was call my credit card company, tell them to put a hold on the charges as an unauthorized charge then send a letter to the credit card company and Onstar.
The burden is on the merchant to prove a valid charge, not you. In this case, Onstar never responded, so I never had to pay the charges.
Onstar is what it is, it's not perfect, but if you want it with it's faults and shortcomings, and you think it's worth the cost, then you just have to pay for it. Not to defend them, but it's a new business model, one that will take time. They do have some strengths, but as an early adopter knows, it's not perfect.
