The Osram Silverstar is a H7 bulb with extra light output, just like the VisionPlus. The numbers I got from Osram was 550 to 600 hours for the standard H7 and 250 to 300 hours for the Silverstar.
Note that the test voltage for H7 lamps is 13.2 volts. A 5% voltage change results in a 50% change in life.
I use Osram Silverstar in my 9-5, but I have a modified low beam (and high beam) cabling with some extra relays and a 0.33 ohm resistor. The resistor lowers the low beam voltage to 11 volts (and burning up 20W) when the light switch is in the left position. The full 13.5 volts is used in the right position. I don't know what kind of life I will get with this arrangement, but I obviously hope for some longer life. The modifications for the high beam is a modification that changes the high/low-beam switching to behave like the 9000.
