it might be that the sensor is good and the gauge is reading the correct temp. in that case its likely that your thermostat is stuck open, thus not allowing the engine to get to the proper temp.
cabin temps not warm enough is a tip off that the engine is not getting up to temp.
happened to me on my 9000 aero last winter. replaced the 'stat and all was good (and warm)
