Is General Motors, Dumbing Down SAAB? A Bit Long!

As most everyone knows, General Motors owns SAAB, and in my humble opinion, GM is having have a HUGE influence on dumbing down (cheapening) the SAAB brand. The quality problems continue, just read the posts on this board. Now we have the cheap looking plastic dash on the 2002 9-5, battery's that continue to fail after a few thousands miles, brake pads and rotors that work well new, but need to be replaced far sooner than almost any car on the market, ECM and SID failures to just name a few. A less than stellar dealer network. Even something as simple as debuting the 2002 9-5 minus the must anticipated Xenon headlights couldn't be accomplished. I'm really concerned that SAAB will make the 9-5 in particular, a brand similar to the Cadillac in the US that is way over priced and I hate to say it, pompous. It may be time to move on.
From a owner of a 1999 9-5 SE, 2000 Aero, 2001 SE Convertible and four (4) SAAB's previous. Any opinions pro or con. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
