Happy Holidays all.......I want to be able to change the cabin filter on my 9-5 myself but according to the dealer its cumbersome and takes over 30 minutes????? I am told I have to remove the glove box and a panel???? Plus they want $60.00 for the filter....YIKES! Our Volvo cabin filters are $18.00 and take 3-5 minutes.....So, can I do it myself? Is it a real hassle, and how about another source for the filter???? Getting into the car at the dealer, a sales guy came out to my car and says: You know, we've been breathing polluted air for hundreds of years and we still out last our cars..............whats with that? Is he saying you can run without it? In theory it would only really work if you never rolled the windows down or opened the sunroof.... the last Saab built before cabin filters sucked in the same air as what would come in via the window. SO...do I really need it???? Bill, somewhere next to a smoke beltching, particle flying polluting chip plant in Vermont!
