Sounds like turbo failure to me. Blue smoke has nothing to do with gas. I am assuming you have a V6, because you mentioned "SE." I have a 2001 SE V6 and it has been blowing blue smoke on start up for a year now. It's perfectly fine to drive, as long as you're not too embarrassed by the smoke and you keep an eye on the oil level. The oil leaks slowly so it will take a while for it to work it's way back into the intercooler to get sucked into the engine when you start it. I'm not too worried about taking my car on long trips as long as I make sure it has plenty of oil. It takes about a quart of oil every 1500 miles, which reminds me I should probably check it tonight... Seeing as a turbo replacement for the V6 is somewhere around $2k mine will stay puffing blue smoke for I while me thinks.
