I don't know where you live, but in the desert we are not making any money on the new cars. I used to make 15 to 20% of my income on cv boots. I used to make really good money on pinion bearings on classic 900's. I used to make good money on AC hoses. The list goes on and on and on. You people used to pour money into your cars. Now it is just maintenence and batteries and the occasional melted piston. Timing cover leaks were mostly warranty.
How can I ever dream of buying a decent boat! I'm not joking. How can I get rich fixing cupholders. This used to be a lucrative profession.
To all of the classic 900 owners and 9000 owners who paid for my house and pool I salute you. The NG 900 and the OG 93 had some income generators too. If you complain about the new cars, you weren't around twenty years ago.
