I think that it makes more sense to look at the factory pieces that fit the same as the metal pieces that would get romoved in the swap. True, you can get sometimes nicer looking wood, but when you put on top of the factory pieces,the switches and knobs are all recessed by the thickness of the overlay you have put in place, and some might become hard to operate.
I put a Joshua Tree Rosewood kit on my 9000 Aero because mthat car only came with the dark gray plastic dash that year, so I had no real choices, but given the choice, I suggest going with orriginal Saap parts. One last point. When you sell the car, if the next owner wants to go back to the original metal finish, he will have a lot less trouble swaping the parts then trying to remove the adhesive secured wood from the metal.
