The range on my 9-3 remote is shorter than my sis-in-law's VW Jetta's remote range, but it's a non-issue since it still unlocks from a distance... I'm a pro-manual 4 cylinder classic Saab engine guy myself so I cannot understand why people buy automatic V6's when they buy Saabs. I can only guess that it's a first time Saab buyer, which it is 99% of the time. I'm not sure this is good for Saab. On the one hand, they might not get the first time Saab buyer who is hung up on V6 versus the bullet proof classic Saab 4. On the other hand, if they do get those that insist bigger is better, they might just end up losing them with the V6 anyway and they're not driving a Saab engine, so to speak... perhaps it's a business decision... Get 'em in a Saab at least once if they weren't going to buy one anyway...
