I found this interesting, not sure of the exact advantage. Audi has another option to leasing, it's called the Premier Purchase Plan. The car is registered in your name, titled to you and with each payment you build equity. The monthly payment is figured only on the portion that you use the car 12-48 months. The monthly payments are lower than conventional financing. The final payment is then a balloon amount predetermined at the beginning of the contract.

When the balloon payment comes due you can;

1) Pay off the contract balance and keep the car.
2) Refinance the final balance.
3) Return the car like a lease.
