That stuff sticks like hell. You would know if you were the one removing the old one. If you think about it, those bathroom hooks have a lot of weight to carry with a towel on them or something. This sticky stuff just has a tiny light little emblem to hold on. The badges on my '01 were getting kind of nasty looking so I replaced them back in December. Boy were they not fun to get off. Lots of dental floss was needed although the dental floss was digging into my hands more than the tape. Make sure you clean up the surface. If there's any sticky residue left WD-40 will take care of it. Spray a bunch on and hold it there with a paper towel so the stuff can dissolve. Then wash it with some dish soap to get rid of the grease. Then some rubbing alcohol. I would not recommend using a razor blade. I found out the hard way that the surface is uneven and ended up taking off a couple layers of paint. Place the badge on and push like crazy for 10 seconds or so.
