Douglas: There were no changes from model year 2000 to 2001. IKn those years, the torque in the automatic equipped cars was limited to 243 lb.ft as opposed to the 258 in the manual shift cars. In model year 2002, all cars have 258 lb.ft. In all cars however, the torque is limited in first and second gear to limit wheelspin, and the much talked about (but in my opinion overblown),torque steer. This limitation is still in effect in the 2002 cars.
