Thanks very much. I searched Saabnet for "short belt" and found lots of people with my exact symptoms. I just called my indie and he verified that I have the short belt. He reviewed the tsb for this change while I was on the phone and couldn't find a reason not to switch back, so he's going to replace the short belt with a long one and we'll see if that helps the vibration issue.

I found this image showing the before and after on Saabnet. Why on earth did they make this change?
