One gut feeling I have is that the A/C emergency over pressure valve opened and let some of the refrigerant charge out.
That usually leaves a lot of oily residue near the turbo area since the valve is located on the rear housing of A/C compressor.
That valve can open if something happens to the A/C system so that the pressure rise to fast to a high value without the system shutting off the A/C clutch.
