are probably slightly off to one side or the other.
A good alignment place should first center the steering wheel and the steering rack then adjust the alignment. The problem lies in how good the alignment person is in identifying the rack center and a level steering wheel.
The car can be perfectly aligned but with the steering wheel off center because the tie rods are not adjusted properly. A bit of an oxymoron here because to me, a perfect alignment should include the steering wheel, rack and tie rod adjusted properly.
That said, other factors can account for the off center, a slight tire difference between the left and right can give you a slight pull down the road and you compensate this with steering input. It doesn't take much to cause a slight tire difference even if the tires are new, slight difference in inflation pressure can cause this also.
Try swapping the tires from side to side may give you some more information. Many tires these days are directional, so this is a bit of a hassle. You may also try front to back rotation.
