Goal: establish Mobil 1 oil change intervals for my 2001 9-5 4-banger.
Info so Far: Saab manual says 10,000 mile intervals. My guy says 6,500.
Andrews says 7,000 miles. A local garage says filter only
at 5,000 miles and full oil at 10,000 miles. The SAABNET
turbo/oil thread runs the gamut. I have heard of owners
who change filters every 6 months and full oil every 12
months.
Stats: I'm at 6,500 miles and 6 months right now. It costs twice
the dough ($60 vs. $30) for synthetic vs. dino oil.
