I have a 99 9-5 V6 wagon and love it. While it's not as smooth sounding as the Saab 4, it has great pickup; sport mode adds lots of fun and zest (thought I find it tricky in coming off traffic lights; if you hit the gas too hard you can leap forward too quickly, if you know what i mean!) The one problem I've found with the 6 is the way it was retrofitted for the Saab. Apparently they changed the location of the oil filter from the original GM design. The result: An O-ring at the "old" filter site can leak. Mine went at 30k; when I say "go" I mean drips started showing up on the garage floor. I just drove an Aero and a new 6. Loved the feel of the Aero, but not sure it's worth giving up for my 6 when the lease runs out. May just buy the current car, with 45k miles. It has been (knock on wood) almost trouble free.
