Don;t want to start an international incident, but your comments on Onstar raise a question in my mind that has always occured when I have traveled to your beautiful part of the world. Isn't Quebec, in fact, all of Canada,BI-LINGUAL? this means that everyone speaks English as well as French. If the Onstar operator were to provide information in English, what is the problem? I knw that from a purely cultural and historical perspective, Quebecers prefer to rely on thier French ancestry and traditions in thier daily lives, and believe that this contributes to much of what is so charming about the region, but so what if the directions are in English? Everyone understands it, and that is supposed to be what BI-Lingual refers to.
In any case,Hardly worth getting upset over Onstar's limitations regarding language when there are so many other deficiencies in the system, but wanted to mention it,because I have found that whenever visiting the region, there seems to be some reluctance on the part of many to speak english, even when they realize that they are dealing with an American who has absolutely no understanding of the French language.
No offense meant, just some food for thought.
