So I had an idea. since I have the intake manifold off, what if I just:
1.reinstall the new oil cooler and cover
2.remove thermostat and re install housing (to allow free flow without running the engine)
3. remove the radiator hose from the thermostat tube
4. get another random rad. hose that fits and run each hose into its own bucket
5. rig up a pump and flush the system with hot, soapy water (simple green?)
6. re install thermostat ect.
this way I dont have to worry about multiple fills, cooling engine, and I can actually inspect some things to make sure its all clean.
