One of the few parts that has failed on my 2001 Aero was the throttle body. Pretty common, I guess. Priced it at Europarts, but needed the car fixed immediately, so I went to the dealer anyway. Dealer's price was at least $100 more...just for the part.
I asked them about the difference and they said because it was covered by GM's Mr. Goodwrench lifetime guarantee. If it ever failed again, they promised to fix it for free.
The dealer repaired the Saab the same day I brought it in and provided a courtesy ride to and from the train station. Yes I paid more than I wanted to, but I don't begrudge them making some money. I was treated well and a got a quick, quality repair.
