I have religiously changed in our '04 9-5 Arc wagon (and our two previous 9-5 wagons) with M1 0W-40 every 5K miles. I use a Wix (Napa Gold) filter. I was in Wal-Mart the other day and noticed that Mobil 1 0W-30 in 5-quart jugs had appeared suddenly in the lineup. For two years or so, I haven't been able to find ANY M1 0W-30 around here, although it's the spec in my manual. I've been using M1 0W-40 instead, on the recommendation of the dealer and what pretty much amounts to a consensus on this forum. Is there anything new about the reappearance of this oil? I'd like to switch to it, not so much because it's the recommended oil, but because it's significantly cheaper in the big jug than in quarts, and we can't get the 0W-40 in the big thumpers around here.....
