The following checks and comments are based upon the assumption that the driver side xenon works.
1. Check: Fuse 12 provides +12VDC to the screen motor for the right headlamp on your car.
2. All circuitry for flash-to-pass and hi-beam operation is shared up to fuses 10 and 12. Fuse 10 is for the driver-side (left) screen motor. Fuse 12 is for the right. These two fuses are located in the main fuse box behind the battery.
3. The return (-12VDC) for the screen motor is shared by the inner flash-to-pass halogen and the xenon bulb itself. If the inner halogen works when you pull the directional stalk and the low-beam xenon works then the return circuit is not the cause.
4. If the fuse is blown (No. 12) and a replacement fuse blows the sceen motor itself might be the cause (shorted). If the fuse is good then the screen motor itself (open versus shorted) is still the likely cause.
6. If, in the end, it is the screen motor that is sticking, a replacement headlamp may be indicated. The unit is sealed and there are no replacement parts available. Try Goldwing. eEuroparts will sell you a new unit for $670 which does not include the xenon bulb, ballast or headlamp control unit.
Attempts to free up the screen motor should be attepted if you are faced with the prospect of spending $670.
If you email me I'll send you the wiring diagram for the headlight system on your car. Be sure to specify model and year since I might forget by the time I receive it.
