Well Dave finally called on Wednesday, after I threatened to rescind, to let me know that the turbo had been shipped. His excuse was lame -- something about it having been built but having not shipped because someone forgot about it for two days.
Got to my mechanic on Thursday and my mechanic checked it out. Seems to be OK and the mechanic is trying to get it made today. As I said using a G25 takes some work to make the transition, apparently more than the TDO4, but I understand the TDO4 is hard to get.
Well, my mechanic, who is a degreed engineer, and very conscientious, and enjoys a challenge, well make the conversion work, of that I am sure. He pulled it off the last time.
And I guess I will get to find out if the EOM G17 which was replaced by my dealer and possibly defective from the start, was the reason this car would never idle right. This car needed a turbo when I bought it, so I don't know what it idled like before the first turbo failed.
I think Dave at xsturboboosters is OK. Just a bit slow and either to busy to communicate or just doesn't like talking to people. But he seems like a friendly guy on the phone. Beats me.
