Haven't heard yet of anyone ready to tinker their way to success instead of replacing the complete valve body.
I think I heard the problem is sticking pistons and line bore problems (out of round)in the aluminum casting.
Volvo have the same problems with their early 5 speed autos.
Because of the price tag I don't push that repair since it doesn't seem to get any worse than that. Since we never know the overall shape of the transmission it is hard to spend that money and then the transmission lets go some miles later due to other worn parts.
