Our 9-5 is my wife's wagon, an '03 Linear just turned 90K.

She is much less picky about cars than I, so we have some flexibility. I can see her being happy in something bland like a Toyota Venza, as she likes having a wagon. So in 2-3 years, one of those off lease and CPO will be priced about right. She won't like the fuel mileage, though, so I'm thinking a CPO BMW diesel 3-series, preferably with AWD would be better long term. OTOH, even if Saab is history, I can see a 9-3 SC, a car she likes.

A bigger problem is what to do when my '96 9K needs replacing. I can see getting a recent 9-5, but am leaning toward BMW, with the possibility of Audi. I don't know how easy those makes are for DIY, though, and that's important to me to control cost of ownership.
