Power Steering Noise - Help

At idle I get like a flutter feel or sound ( like a dull notching sound ) when I turn the wheel either way. Fluid is Ok and steering feels smooth. I don't know if it does it at speed because it's too hard to hear. It just started and seems to have gotten worse over the past week. Sorry but can't think of a better word to describe it. Thanks for the input !!!!
