Dear Friends,
I have an 06 Saab 9-5. I recently brought the vehicle to the Chevy dealer to fix the sunroof shade/rattle issue. Of course all they did was remove the gutter (instead of actually troubleshooting) it. It actually solved some of the roof and sunshade squeaking and clattering. The dealer wants to replace the sunroof shade gutter. Should I let them or should I just live without the gutter. What are your thoughts?
Now to the main issue I wanted to share with you: The day after I brought home my 9-5 from the dealer (Graham Chevy, Santa Barbara) the "coolant low, please refill" appeared on the SID. I checked the coolant and the reservoir was almost empty. No puddles on my driveway. My car has only 35k on the odometer. I went to the auto parts store and purchased Dexcool orange coolant and refilled the reservoir (this was done at the autoparts store parking lot). The next morning I woke up to find a nice puddle of coolant underneath the car. Should I be worried? Is it just coincidence or did the dealer intentially damage my car? The service manager told me that he did test drive the car in a hilly area with numerous imperfections in the road surface. What could of happened? The car is still under warranty.
Thank you for your response.
Sam
