. . . when the Twice is replaced, aside from making the key[s] recognized, and getting the alarm system recognized....
Does the radio -require- some steps [a code entry, or something else] to be recognized? Where does that 'code' come from? Does one have to pull it out from the dash, to find the code inscribed on the side of the radio ?
Or, alternatively, will the Radio just work -- one can swap out the Twice all day long and never have to worry about the radio?
----------------
And then, this....since the car otherwise works....
What codes, behaviors and other issues come up from the Twice not being on the "other bus", aside from the possibility of the radio failure....?
---------------
And then, this: I reconnected a 30amp wire to the battery, installed to power an inverter, that the Tech forgot about. This meant I detached the positive, leaving the car w/o power for a bit.
On re-hooking up, with my 30A fused wire, the message "Service Theft Alarm" no longer appeared. Vaguely remember reading something, somewhere, about power removal as a "reset" method, in some discussion about something, somewhere, a while ago. BUT....radio still doesn't work. May go back outside and remove power for longer....over 30secs - 1min, like I do with bricked wireless routers....
Does this provide any clues?
-------------
I haven't yet replaced the brake sensor gadget, from under the hood -- a pre-flooding issue. The tech does mention [as expected] that he can't communicate with it at all.

Again, thanks to all who might read this post, including Larry, in advance for your help.
