Moving car with engine removed?

So I need to remove the motor from a 99 9-5, I have access to a lift and engine hoist and was planning to remove the engine/trans/subframe together, probably onto jack stands and raising the car out of the way. However, since the lift's owner needs to use it, I need to get the car out of the bay once I remove the motor - so I was thinking I could remove the engine/trans from the subframe and reinstall the subframe and then roll the car outside? Or is there an easier way? There doesn't seem to be much to support the front of the car without the subframe there.... I'm sure somebody has done this...
Thanks!
