I agree with you on this. On my Aero 95 02 wagon,the halogens only flash when the ignition is off! They don't turn on when the Xenons go to high beam, so they are really useless. I e-mailed SAAB from their web site and they said talk to your dealer. So when I bring mine in for the one month check up I am going to discuss the possibility of rewiring the halogens to be daytime running lights. Why run the xenons, since this will make them wear out sooner rather than later? Only the dealer can replace a blown Xenon bulb I gather from the manual. If the dealer cannot reprogram or rewire them, then I will have the Xenons set to be off in the DRL position of the switch. Then I can choose to run them or not during the day depending on the weather.
