I thought that my 2001 LPT says 89 octane ?
I have consistently used a quality 87 octane fuel (Shell), in WINTER, when temps are typically in the teens, or worse,...and snow, snow snow flying everywhere....the car starts up much easier. In the weather I've just outlined, when you have to idle the car extensively just to defrost it, and are stuck in 20 mph traffic jams commuting home, fuel mileage doesn't really come into play for me.
FWIW---Last winter, my fuel economy just sucked...worst in the entire lifetime of this car.....anybody else see that on their SAAB?
