Ignition switch replacement. Posted by Johnson [Email] (#3237) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Johnson) on Thu, 23 Jun 2011 16:19:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've been playing around and it def seems like I have a bad ignition switch. when I turn the key, but not pull it about about 2/3rds of the time it will kill power to the radio, and 1/3rd of the time it will keep things running as usual.
How does one go about replacing this. On a scale of 1-10 how hard, and do I have to do anything special like programing with at tech 2? also what is the likely hood that it might just need to be cleaned? When I bought the car the privious owner had let coffee/soda/ something dark in color spill out of the cup holder and I had to clean the buttons on the AC head unit and radio, as they were sticking, could something have gotten in there and now causing issues that I can just clean?
