The front bushings seems to hold pretty well but the center and rear ones wear out around 100K miles. It depends a little bit how hard of a driver and braker your are and if you replace the motor mounts when they are done.
Since the whole front suspension and rear of engine/transmission is suspended in the sub frame and the frame suspended to car body with those 6 tiny rubber bushings it is a weak link in the system. Especially the 02-05 with those hollow bushings where half of the rubber is removed by design. That's why I install the 06 and up in the rear since those are solid like the 01 and older.
The longer you drive with it the more noise it will make when the subframe goes metal to metal with the cross brackets. There is no set limit for anything since we all have different levels of acceptance.
One customer had such bad motor mounts all around that he was SURE the transmission was gone after what it sounded like and the car was pulling fairly violent sideways when steeping on it and to me that was far longer gone that I would accept.
