I work at a saab dealer and have installed many saab hitches,I will tell you, they are no fun to install, yes it can be done by a layman, nothing more than ordinary hand tools ,drill and bits,be carefull not to drill through hidden wire harness in the back,it will probably take you about 4-5 hours to do,takes me about 3hrs after installing about 25-30 of them, whats your time worth?if the dealer is going to do it for a couple hundred bucks, let them do it and save your self the headache
