I know there are lot's of posts on this in the past but just wondering if this idea is still a good one. There is a post by "Kurt" from '09 with a successfull changeover DIY. That was then, this is now and Saab is, well you know. Anyway my GFisher manual wagon is blowing more and more blue smoke these days and I'm thinking I need to do something about it soon. Overall the car is in fantastic condition for it's years. PCV6 done and engine is quiet. What do you-all think, 3 years later, 145K on the clock,,is this swap/upgrade still advisable? I would love to try to tackle it myself but don't want to get stuck halfway with a frozen/broken exhaust stud or some insurmountable obstacle, then have to pay 250$ to have it flatbedded and then finished by an indy, even IF they will attempt to finish the job. The car deserves to be repaired. Thoughts?
