The poly trailing arm bushings will not make the ride rougher. When the suspension goes up and down it pivots on these. I does tighten things up however. Helps with transitions. I have 2 Aeros, on with OEM and other with polys. I can really tell the difference on transitions...if your do a back and for movement with the wheel.....like a racer warming the tires the poly gives you much more solid and controlled reaction.
I feel these bushings should have been poly to start with.
Yes at that mileage replace all the otter bushings. All 4 of them. Upper outer will be the most worn.
Also make sure you ride height is right. Sagging springs will give you tire cupping as well. As the suspension goes down the toe-in increases and you get cupping......ask me how I know! I have been there on my 2001 and i did bushings, trailing arm Powerflex, Koni shocks, and set the ride height with spacers. Genuine saab sells them for Koni, and there is someone on eBay with some kits.
RIDE HEIGHT, RIDE HEIGHT.....VERY IMPORTANT to get it right before alignment. LH rear cupping is caused by that spring sagging in all likelihood. Driver's side sags because of driver weight.
