I've read all about the "milkshake" phenomenon on here before as it's happened to me, then I replaced all the head gaskets about 20k ago (but did not use new bolts, but did torque them to spec) and have never seen it since.
I just drained and topped off tranny fluid, changed the oil, AND put in a new temp sensor. The temp gauge was fluttering a little right when it turned cold in DC, then corrected itself, but I put a new one in just in case. Then I drove it about 20 miles, saw a little bit of "yellow" fluid at the oil filler cap, none on the dipstick. Wiped it off, drove it another 10 miles, and it did not reappear. Coolant level has not dropped at all since my last drain/refill.
Question: Is there a chance when I pulled the old temp sensor out, it could have mixed a little bit of coolant into the oil at the bridge there?
I just put in a new t-stat 20k miles ago. Thanks!
