Basically remove the mirror glass, remove the motor, and you will see four places where there are plastic clips that come into the metal frame. You would pinch the tangs of each clip together and push through the metal. Be careful, though, the plastic clips break if you look at them wrong, and even if they don't break, they may not hold as well the second time you try to put it together. I've seen small screws used to keep the tangs apart and holding the plastic. Don't try this out in the cold weather!
