Bought this card last Dec with the AC not working. Put a new Sanden compressor/rec-dryer/expansion valve in in the spring and it worked okay, but not that cold. This summer, not cold at all; basically cool on the right side and lukewarm on the driver side. Checked all my dampers under the dash and no codes on the acc. I disconnected the coolant bypass so no heat went into the heater core. The low pressure line going to evap wasn't getting that cold and then I found some black deposits in the lines.
So, I replaced pulled everything apart, flushed it out, replaced the condenser, rec/dryer and expansion valve. I put all new O-rings in, put the correct oil and 134 in and basically no difference. My pressures are basically correct but the temp on right side gets between 60-70 and the left side gets 70-80.
It's really unbelievable and I have pretty much given up. The only thing that hasn't been changed is the evap and from the black film in the lines, it looks like it may have had black death before I got it.
The car has 130,000 and is in very nice shape with the BBS wheel. Unless some AC expert has any other ideas, I am ready to trade it in or sell it cheap. There is an 08 not too far from me and I might look at that.
