I have a 2003 9-5. I live in Phoenix...so AC is a necessity. The AC was not blowing cold (cool, but not cold) so I had the system recharged. Didn't make much of a difference.
I checked the blend doors...both are operational (the diagnostic did not throw off a code, either).I checked the recirculation control on the passenger side.. that servo is working. No code for that either. My local (indie) Saab guy scanned it and couldn't find anything, either.
I replaced the fan control unit last winter (fan was running at one speed...fan now works well).
The ACC does come on, blows strong and the air is cool but not cold. The compressor kicks on.
It does seem that the recirculation control wasn't working...it 'feels' like it's pulling outside air in when it is working. But that isn't the problem...I manually opened the recirc when I had the servo off and it got really warm.
Does anybody have any bright ideas? I don't give up easily.
