I replaced the CPS when I got the car in '11. It had the classic hot soak failure. I had it die in a parking lot at Lowe's. I propped the hood, waited ten minutes and started the car. I ordered a CPS when I got home. Once installed the problem has not recurred. At the time the car had about 100k miles on it. I regard the CPS as a 100k / 8 year maintenance item. The current CPS has around 40,000 miles on it. I doubt it has anything to do with slow cranking. BTW the DIC is a new SEM 3.7 unit from Advance with less than 10,000 miles on it. New plugs too.
I'll check the cable and report back.
