Sounds like the battery.
My last battery dies after 18 months as well (would go dead very quickly - like 10 minutes with open doors). I had really hard time replacing it under warranty at AutoZone - they also did the test and claimed the load check was fine. I think they are just trying to weasel out and do not want to do the warranty replacement just after 18 month.
It is very typical for Saab 9-5 battery to only last ~2 years. Probably it is a design flaw on the Saab side (and they did relocate the battery in later years).
