Don't you mean Gislaved Nordfrost? Gislaved and Nokian are quite similar in their offerings and objectives, both being Scandinavian. There is something right about putting their tires on SAABs!
But it really sounds like some of these knockoffs/re-issues (Nordman, General, Pirelli carving, I forget who else) work well in snow. Not necessarily the newest compounds etc, but those older tread designs worked really well for snow clearing. Combined with studs, they would be fantastic!
I'm also running 205's. New generals would be imho a much better choice than used RSI's even if the RSI's were half the price.
