SRS LIGHT Posted by saabsince 93b [Email] (#972) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabsince 93b) on Sat, 10 Jan 2015 12:58:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We have an intermittent SRS warning light on my wife's 95 Aero. I have done a lot of searching here and other Saab areas, and have not come up with much.
I thought I would post what I know and see if anyone has had recent experience.
The light goes on when you blow the horn and occasionally when you turn the wheel. It only stays on a short time and then goes off.
Tech 2 by my indy indicates a B0103 "Front collision right, open circuit Or short to ground B+" I have checked the wiring and cleaned the contacts in the past and will do it again.
I have ordered a claimed good used sensor from eBay. $127 for a new one is expensive trouble shooting in my mind.
Some people say to replace the "clock spring" in the steering wheel behind the airbag. Some say if the horn works the "clock spring" is OK.
I am going to check the wiring again, and try the replacement sensor when it comes in.
Any other ideas? Is there a junction that goes bad? Is there a ground connection that goes bad or some other quirky thing?
