Saab put a limit stop bolt (10mm head) into the regulator so that the window glass could be adjusted to just touch the upper seal instead of ramming the glass into the frame until the whole sheet metal inside of door was buckling.
Unfortunately, the next guy in line did not know how to adjust that limit stop so it is always a 1/8" below and subsequently, the glass is getting rammed into the frame on all 9-5s putting a lot of extra stress on the plastic rollers.
I usually get the window all the way up and then carefully tap the down button until all stress is released in the door skin but not too much so that the glass have a gap from the felt seal.
Then I loosen the 10mm bolt in regulator and move it up until it makes contact with the regulator and tighten the bolt.
